Solar Garden Water Pumps
Does a solar panel like this one work also in the shade?
I am planning to install this solar pump in a water garden on my patio, which unfortunately is north-faced. Since I am at the top floor of the apartment house, I may try to put it on the roof, but still it would get direct sun only from 4PM.
Do you have any experience on whether these small panels at least work minimally enough to perform their minimum duty all day long?

It will probably not produce enough power to run the pump except in full sun. I say this because the ratings for the pump and solar cell are not that far apart. The cell output rating is max. as in bright sunshine.
